What is Meditation?
There are many definitions of meditation, here is one from the Meditation Society: Meditation is a three step process that leads to a state of consciousness that brings serenity, clarity, and bliss.
For me, meditation is a process for accessing that quiet place within which if filled with love. I actually us a combination of hypnosis, meditation and visualization with my clients. I find that this combination achieves excellent results.
How does Meditation work?
I assist clients to first reach a relaxed state and then I guide them through visualizations to find clearings or solutions for issues in their lives.
Some of the benefits of meditation are that it provides a safe way of dealing with issues. It also allows you to go deeper because you are relaxed and receptive. It helps you to resolve issues without discomfort. You come out of the meditation feeling lighter and freer.
Most issues in our lives start in our minds with our thoughts and beliefs. Recent research is confirming how connected the mind is in creating and eliminating physical problems. Physicians can fix the body but the mind can create the situation again and again. This is why adding the mind to a health program is the optimum method for total healing.
The first step to transforming your life is clearing out all the old blocks and habits that you have accumulated over your life. Meditation is one way of achieving this. Meditation enables you to communicate with your physical body, to relax mental and muscle tension even regulate body systems. Meditation allows us to be in peaceful connect with ourselves; mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
