HEALING NEEDS
What does it mean to need? I was talking with my Guidance a few weeks ago and I asked what I needed to clear. What I received was, "Love lets go. Need holds on." This is actually part of a quote by Neale Donald Walsch, "Love lets go. Need holds on. This is the way you can tell the difference between need and love. Let go of expectation, let go of requirements and rules and regulations that you would impose on your loved ones."
This quote has led me down a path of becoming aware of my own needs. Needs that I never knew that I had. Needs that are taught to me by the societal beliefs of this country. Racial needs, religious needs, sexist needs, ethical needs and needs that justify fears. Some of these needs are very simple and some are quite profound, but no matter what the need is, it stands between me and freedom. That is right, I can not be free as long as I have needs.
This has let to some major changes in my own life and who I see myself as being. It has also lead to changes in how I see and react to others. I have found that many times people blame me for what thy have dcided that they need. This is not something that we do consciously, for the most part, it is the way we shift the blame and make excuses for what does not work in our own lives.
I am moving out of the world of need and into a world of Love. Love is Freedom. Not the love that we see depicted in movies or read about in books, most of that love is based in need. I am talking about the unconditional Love that brings more and more Freedom into every aspect of your life. The Love that comes from Source/Universe.
All this needs work has led me to a healing method that releases needs. I have been shown how to go within, state my needs, let them go and feel the amazing lightness that results.
