Life is But a Dream

When I was much younger my father died.  It was a very traumatic time for me but I heard a song that always brought me peace during that time.  The song is 'Life is but a Dream’ by the Gap band.  I've always remembered that song and would sing it to myself when my life was stressful.  I never knew why it had such an impact on me until a few years ago when I came across a book called ‘A Course In Miracles’ (ACIM).  It teaches that what we perceive is not real and that when you have been caught in the world of perception you are caught in a dream.   It reminded me of the words in the song about life being just a dream so I started to read.  I read most of the course, but I didn’t do it the way that it says it is to be done so I didn’t get a lot out of it.  I kept the book and would think about it on occasion but I wasn’t willing to do the work so it just sat and gathered dust.  Several months ago, a woman came into my life and she had a book that she was guided to lend me.   And so I read ‘The Disappearance of the Universe’ by Gary R. Renard.  This book brought me an understanding of what ACIM is really all about.  This same wonderful woman also lent me Gary’s next book, ‘Your Immortal Reality’.  Reading these two books has opened my eyes to Love and strengthened my connection to the Holy Spirit and Jesus. It has lead me to a deeper understanding of forgiveness and how we can use forgiveness to change our lives.  If you are ready to start to transforming your life, I’m here to help.
